    Biography:

    A Pine-Richland High School graduate, Ms. Berezo has taught fourth grade at Eden Hall Upper Elementary since 2017. For the last year, Ms. Berezo has served as a curriculum developer for the Neighborhood Meeting Framework Committee, supplementing the Neighborhood Meeting Framework with research-based curricula around kindness, gratitude and perseverance for over 100 students fostering whole-child learning and positive classroom environments. She has served as RAMS Way Committee leader since 2019, helping to improve Eden Hall’s positive behavioral interventions and supports system, and has been an active member of the building’s student assistance program team since 2021. 

    Ms. Berezo also was Pine-Richland’s cheerleading program director and varsity sideline head coach for five years where she collaborated with coaches and athletes on creating new spirit traditions to enhance the Ram-Fan experience. She fostered the concept of continuous improvement by providing opportunities for coaches to develop their skills through Varsity University seminars. She also worked with coaches and cheer alumni to host Pine-Richland's first-ever Collegiate Cheer Seminar. 

    Ms. Berezo earned principal certification from Point Park University in 2020, an M.Ed. in special education from Slippery Rock University in 2017, and a B.S. in childhood and early adolescent education from Penn State University in 2016. She completed a primary principal internship at Eden Hall Upper Elementary and a secondary principal internship at North Allegheny Intermediate High School.

    “I am humbled and excited to be moving into the role of assistant principal at Pine-Richland Middle School,” said Ms. Berezo. “As a proud PRSD alumni, I have been deeply inspired by the educators, administrators and peers who have shaped my own educational journey. Together, with the PRMS staff and our exceptional community, I look forward to fostering an environment where students are empowered to reach their fullest potential and discover their own path to success.”
