Carolyn Welshonce Elected President of PASAP

Carolyn Welschonce

Mrs. Carolyn Welshonce, Pine-Richland School District social worker, has been elected the new president of the Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistant Professionals. Mrs. Welschonce has been a member of the board of directors for ten years.

The Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistant Professionals provides continuing education opportunities and support to Student Assistance Programs in Pennsylvania and works to identify and reduce barriers to learning and promote mental, emotional and physical wellness through prevention, intervention and referrals to support services.

"I have been very fortunate to be a part of this amazing organization for several years and I'm very excited for this new opportunity and level of responsibility," said Mrs. Welschonce. "I will be working hard to assist SAP teams across the state of Pennsylvania as they help students connect with the resources necessary to address student concerns which might be creating a barrier to learning."

In her new role, Mrs. Welschonce will lead the Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistant Professionals board of directors, develop and facilitate monthly webinars on current school topics and organize the annual conference.

Congratulations, Mrs. Welschonce!
