Mr. Will Guess, director of bands, will be inducted into the Nu (Pennsylvania) Chapter of the Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity.
Phi Beta Mu aims to promote fellowship among its members, to encourage the building of better bands and the development of better musicians in schools throughout the world, to foster a deeper appreciation for quality wind literature, and to encourage widespread interest in band performance.
Membership into Phi Beta Mu is via a nomination process with selection by professional colleagues who have observed and respected one's work over time.
"We are proud of this outstanding accomplishment and Mr. Guess's continued dedication to Pine-Richland students and music education," said Dr. Frank Hernandez, principal of Pine-Richland High School. "Some of the most respected band directors, both past and present, have held this distinction, placing Mr. Guess among an esteemed group of music education leaders."
Mr. Guess teaches band to students in grades 7-12 at Pine-Richland High School and Pine-Richland Middle School. He will be formally inducted at the 2026 PMEA Annual In-Service Conference and All-State Festival held April 22-25 at the Kalahari Convention Center in the Poconos.
