PRHS is pleased to offer an Air Force Junior ROTC program for students in grades 9-12. This program helps educate and train students in aerospace science. Students will gain knowledge in life-skills training, community service, self-discipline and other valuable characteristics related to air and space fundamentals.
Students who successfully complete the program will earn credits toward graduation. Students will engage in curriculum inside and outside the classroom. Principals of Aircraft and Heritage of Flight are just a couple of the courses that are taught within the program. Students enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to visit military bases, aerospace facilities and other areas related to the Air Force.

Major Michael Morrison
mmorrison@pinerichland.orgMajor Morrison received a master of science degree in aerospace management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a bachelor of science in liberal studies from the University of Central Florida. He served in the US Air Force from 1984-2004. During that time, Major Morrison flew as a weapon systems officer totaling over 2800 hrs in RF4C and F15E fighter aircraft.
Serving at several locations across the US, Europe and in the mid-east, he most recently organized and oversaw the execution of 24 flights and managed an extensive training program as an Aviation Operations Manager while based in Goldsboro, North Carolina. From 1996 to 1999 he worked as a strategic planning division manager while based in Hampton, Virginia, for the Air Force. He developed strategic and master company plans and provided planning guidance to staff and was able to implement a database to track fiscal plan compliance and accountability for a $6 billion budget. From 2004-2008, he was a senior aerospace science instructor for Marion County Schools in Fairmont, West Virginia.
Chief Master Sgt. Michael Gasparetto
mgasparetto@pinerichland.orgSince 1987, ChiefGasparetto has worked for the United States Air Force’s recruiting services. Most recently, Gasparetto was the director of recruiting and training for Air Force recruiting in Canonsburg. There he managed and directed sales training to nine district supervisors and four training managers in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Years prior, Gasparetto worked at the Pentagon as the Air Force’s human resource director for recruiting/selection. As human resource director for recruiting, he managed and established all training requirements for more than 2,500 recruiters, recruiting supervisors and recruiting managers.
Gasparetto joined the Air Force in 1981. He graduated from Community College of the Air Force in 1996 with a degree in human resources and personnel administration. That same year, he earned his bachelor of business administration degree from Northwood University. Six years later, he earned his master’s in business administration from Touro University International.
