  • School Board Earns Outstanding Innovation Award

    The Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) honored outstanding recipients of the Pennsylvania Education Innovation Awards at the PA Association of School Administrators-PSBA School Leadership Conference at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center on October 16, 2019. The Pine-Richland School Board was the only school board out of three groups to receive the award.

  • Review Redistricting Projected Timeline

    A Joint Student Services and Operational Services Committee meeting was held on Oct. 7, 2019, prior to the PR School Board Planning Meeting. At the planning meeting, the board and administration agreed to update a demographic study and recommended a timeline of: 2019-2020 (Update Demographic Study & Finalize Redistricting Recommendation by summer or early fall of 2020). 2020-2021 (Planning for Logistics: No Redistricting/i.e., current boundaries continue, and in 2021-2022 (Implementation: First Year of Redistricting/i.e., new boundaries begin.

    Pine-Richland High School Football players visited all three elementary schools on Friday, October 4, 2019. They spent the afternoon reading to students, passing out t-shirts and autographs.

    Athletic & activity booster representatives are invited to a booster meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019, in the Pine-Richland High School Old LGI Room (Room 50 & 51), 700 Warrendale Rd., Gibsonia, PA 15044. The director of activities and principal will review Policy 915 and guidelines for booster groups.

    Join us as Pine-Richland School District hosts its first Food Service Advisory & Wellness Committee meeting for the 2019-2020 School Year from 8-9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. An evening session will be held from 6-7 p.m. for those who cannot attend the morning session.

  • PR to Host AV Band Festival

    Pine-Richland High School will be hosting the Allegheny Valley Marching Band Festival on September 18th at the PRHS Stadium. The festival starts at 7 p.m. and bands from Avonworth, Northgate, Riverview, Fox Chapel, Hampton, Shaler, North Hills, and North Allegheny will perform in addition to the PR band.

  • School Librarians Spend Summer Hours Collaborating

    More than a dozen local librarians participated in a training session at Eden Hall Upper Elementary School on August 16, 2019, and was hosted through collaboration between the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association (PSLA) and the University of Pittsburgh. Eden Hall Librarian Beth Shenefiel organized and hosted the session along with Wexford Principal Kelly Gustafson.
