  • Students Earn 3rd Place at STEM Competition

    Pine-Richland students earned third place at the STEM Design Competition hosted at Duquesne University on March 6, 2019. The sixth-grade team was made up of Eden Hall Upper Elementary students Violet Vigliotti and Elena Morse. The fifth-grade team included Eden Hall Upper Elementary students Zachary Shingledecker, CJ Ray, Alex Kastner, and Martino Jang.

  • Students Participate in Odyssey of Mind Competition

    Students from Eden Hall Upper Elementary School and Pine-Richland Middle School earned third and second place respectively at the Odyssey of the Mind Regional Competition at Keystone Oaks School District on March 2, 2019. The middle school team of students will advance to the Odyssey of the Mind State Championships on April 6, 2019. in Pocono Mountains, PA.

  • Fifth-Grader Earns Writing Award

    Storyworks Magazine named fifth-grader Emmerson Muchnok a winner in its writing contest. She participated under the direction of Language Arts Teacher Michelle Brockway. Storyworks is packed with contests to get students excited about writing and earn prizes.

  • One Book: One School Promotes Love of Reading

    Students at Eden Hall Upper Elementary School kicked off a building-wide reading project entitled “One Book, One School” on January 25, 2019. This is the second time the school has conducted a building-wide reading initiative in the past four years aimed at fostering a shared-reading experience.

    It is hard to believe that the first semester of the 2018-2019 is coming to an end. I would like to take time to thank our students, staff and parents for an impressive first half of the school year The next several weeks are typically a time of great growth - the students have matured since August and are ready to take on more responsibility for their learning.     Fourth-grade students took on the ultimate challenge of designing package for chips under the direction of GATE teachers Jennifer Kopach and Joanna Sovek. Students sent a single Pringle potato chip through the mail to students at North Allegheny by creating the best possible package to protect the chip.
