    Several Pine-Richland School District students placed eight at the Chain Reaction Contraption Contest at the Carnegie Science Center on Dec. 7, 2018. SciGirls Club members were named finalists out of 40 registered teams.

  • Students Gain Insight about Careers in Pharmacy

    Pine-Richland High School students in the Anatomy, AP Biology and AP Chemistry classes got an up-close look at careers in pharmacy. This was not your ordinary presentation. The University of Pittsburgh brought the experts who launched an interactive simulation that enabled students to work with a patient. The simulator is known as SimMan.

  • Students Deliver Six Busloads of Toys!

    PRHS Student Government members collected six busloads of toys on November 30, 2018. They hosted a collection drive at all of the district schools. They traveled to Robinson Township to deliver them to 96.1 Kiss Radio, which hosted its annual Stuff-a-Bus toy drive. PR's bus carrier Student Transportation Association donated the buses for the special delivery.

  • Junior Recognized for Fundraising Efforts

    The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is naming junior Tommy Mooney as “Top Fundraiser” in 2018. Tommy, who is a Pine-Richland Hockey player, took the strength he gained by having a family member triumph over Leukemia and dedicated himself to helping raise funds to fight the disease.

    Students in Spanish III Honors completed a project for Day of the Dead in which they made mini-ofrendas and wrote about them. Teacher Kristin Szarell Hough had the other world language teachers vote on whose they liked the best.
