The Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) honored outstanding recipients of the Pennsylvania Education Innovation Awards at the PA Association of School Administrators-PSBA School Leadership Conference at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center on October 16, 2019.
The Pine-Richland School Board was the only school board out of three groups to receive the award. President Peter Lyons, Vice President Christine Misback, and Dr. Carla Meyer, director, were on hand to receive the award, along with Dr. Brian Miller, superintendent, and Board Secretary Barb Williams.
As part of the award, the board earned $5,000 sponsored by CM Regent and CM Cares which will be donated to the Pine-Richland Opportunities Fund. The team was on hand to present at the PASA-PSBA Leadership Conference. The topic of the team’s presentation is the “Pursuit of Excellence: Leadership & Governance.” The professional development session is open to school leaders across Pennsylvania.
