Review Message of Appreciation

May 13, 2021

Dear Pine-Richland Families and Staff,

Over the past 15 months, the district has so much to be thankful for as staff seamlessly adapted to various instruction and learning models. We recently celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week as a great way to recognize the dedication and resiliency in which our teachers and staff have exhibited throughout the pandemic. Our parent-teacher organizations provided messages of gratitude and even coordinated staff luncheons last week. The response to these challenges has only been possible with the strong partnership and collaboration between students, parents and staff. Staff and students have developed a set of technology integration skills that will continue to enhance the traditional educational program when health restrictions are eventually lifted.

Recent Celebrations & Upcoming Events

As the district moves into the final four weeks of school, there are so many positive programs for students to be a part of including the senior celebration that took place this past weekend and these upcoming events:
Most recently, the elementary and primary schools shared with families unique, online presentations showcasing projects and art shows celebrating student work. These presentations can be seen by clicking below on each link:

Class of 2021 Commencement
Finally, there are many events occurring over the next few weeks to celebrate the Class of 2021 including graduation. Pennsylvania is moving toward reopening efforts at the end of May. The Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 11th at 7:00 p.m. on the field at Pine-Richland Stadium. Given the planned change in capacity restrictions, we anticipate eight tickets per graduate. Others in the community and across the globe can view live virtually.

As the district looks forward to these final events of the 2020-2021 school year, we want to extend our sincere appreciation for the teamwork, flexibility and resiliency that our families, students, and staff have shown all year.
Sincerely,
Brian R. Miller, Ed.D.
