Art Club Students Paint Bike Tunnel Mural

you're invited to the pearce mill trail tunnel mural ribbon cuttingPlease join us at the Pearce Mill Trail Tunnel on Saturday, May 13, at 11:30 am, prior to the Party at the Pine Athletic Complex, for the celebration of the unveiling of a mural painted by Pine-Richland High School Art Club students.

Over the last several months, Art Club officers and members have been painting a 64-foot long mural on 16 4’x6’ PVC panels. Materials and supplies were generously donated by Pine-Richland Opportunities Fund, Friends of Pine Community Parks, Rich-Mar Rotary and the Township of Pine. The mural’s design was originally created by Pine-Richland graduate Molly Gaffey.

With its permanent home in the Pearce Mill Trail Tunnel, the mural will be visible to all community members and enjoyed for years to come.

This community mural was born out of Pine-Richland’s In-Depth Program Review process with a goal to establish and strengthen community art experiences and connections, including establishing relationships with local organizations to display final products, as well as establishing a rotation of community art experiences beyond the classroom.

The murals painters included Art Club officers and members: President Kayla Karmanos (12), Vice President Noah Moskala (12), Secretary Eliza Muchnok (11) and Treasurer Sydney Schultz (11), as well as juniors Klaus Gergerich, Riley Turner, Nelli Vaiko and Marissa Zirckel; sophomores Megan Berger and Kiera Moskala; ninth-graders Genevieve Ciancio, Faith Kellogg, Julia Kirkbride, Saija Latta, Nia Nadipalli, Ariella Ruediger, Kahler Salva and Nico Wesolosky; and art teacher Mary Anne Andreassi
