Pine-Richland High School Wins $1,000 in Healthy High School Challenge

students and staff hold giant checkPine-Richland High School placed 13th out of 184 schools nationwide in the Sodexo Healthy High School Challenge, earning $1,000 for the high school student government. 

The Healthy High School Challenge is a national event designed to encourage students to make healthy food choices and take advantage of the high school food service program. Schools earned points for each purchase of a combo meal and specific healthy snacks and beverages sold a la carte.

Throughout the month-long challenge, 1.8 million student meals and 1.1 million healthy snacks were sold by all participating schools.
