headshot of studentNinth-grader Chase Bisti was chosen to participate with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in their Side-by-Side program following recommendation by teacher Mr. Stillwagon and a competitive audition process.

The Side-by-Side program affords high school musicians the experience of rehearsing and performing alongside their Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra counterparts. Students receive personal coaching from PSO musicians, participate in full orchestra rehearsals and collaborate with other student musicians.

The program concludes with students performing at a ticketed concert on the Heinz Hall stage on Tuesday April 9, at 7:30 pm. Chase will perform in the percussion section of the orchestra.
