Eden Hall Upper Elementary School administrators, PTO representatives, teachers, staff members, and students kicked of RAMS Way initiative through an assembly on September 20, 2019.
The Pine-Richland High School cheerleaders stopped by and shared a RAMS Way cheer. Students had a chance to win prizes. The building administration will be working to give students incentive rewards for following the RAMS Way expectations.
The kick-off is all part of a bigger initiative launched by the Pine-Richland School District Department of Student Services and Special Education aimed at creating a district-wide system of positive behavioral supports and interventions. The purpose is to provide an intentional and preventative approach to improve upon a positive school climate. Procedural and behavioral expectations will be intentionally communicated and taught at appropriate developmental-levels from grades K through 12.
The RAMS Way initiative focuses on developing and improving positive behaviors through the use of common, developmentally-appropriate language and expectations.
“The RAMS Way” initiative spells out the acronym for a common set of behavioral expectations:
R-espectful A-ccountable M-otivated S-afe
Students are learning what it means to be Respectful, Accountable, Motivated, and Safe in various areas of each school building, including the cafeteria, hallways, bathrooms, attendance, and the bus.
