In April, Eden Hall will host Battle of the Books competitions for grades 4 and 5. The Battle of the Books is a program designed to encourage reading and to give recognition to those who like to read. Team members read from a list of books selected by the Battle of the Books committee, and compete with other teams by answering questions based on the books.
Fourth- and fifth-grade students who attend Eden Hall Upper Elementary School may participate. Participants should organize their own teams and submit a registration form through the BOB website (see link below.) Each team should consist of 3-5 members in the same grade, an adult team manager, and should have a team name. The team manager must attend the battle, but only the students will compete. A student may only be on one team. There is a limit of 20 teams per battle.
Our informational Kick-Off assemblies will be held from 6-7 PM in the EHUE auditorium. Team members, team managers, and parents are encouraged to attend, although attendance is not required for participation in the Battle.
