Bam the Ram - Home & School Connection
Please utilize this online form to submit a positive referral so that Bam can leave an acknowledgement for your child on Monday mornings through the end of the school year. This connection encourages family involvement with our RAMS Way initiative. Bam visits on Monday mornings to drop off RAMS Way glitter stickers as a special acknowledgement.
School Picnic
Hance Elementary will hold a picnic-style lunch in our outdoor classroom on June 2, weather permitting.

Students may bring a blanket or towel to sit on and enjoy the outdoors for lunch. Students may pack or buy their lunch following their normal routine. Lunch will not be provided by the PTO.

Waste-Free Lunch Days Continue
We will continue our Waste-Free Lunches as part of the recommendations from our building-level sustainability committee. A typical lunch day at Hance Elementary yields 10 bags of garbage. Our goal will be to cut the number of bags used in half. We are partnering with Sodexo for this initiative. Sodexo will be reducing waste by using reusable trays when possible. If you choose to pack your child’s lunch that day, please see the details in the Waste-Free image, which describes how to pack a waste-free lunch. You can also learn more on the EPA’s website by clicking here. We will also educate the students on this during the morning announcements! The days listed below will be considered waste free. We will advertise in the Flash and on post on our Hance Calendar!

Last Day of School Details
Please read thoroughly for important "Last Day of School" details.

  • AM Kindergarten students will experience their last day of school on Wednesday, June 8.
  • PM Kindergarten students will attend their final day of school on the morning of Thursday, June 9, in a modified session running from 9:30 a.m. until 12:35 p.m.
  • We are asking families to make arrangements to drive their PM K child to school between 9:30 and 9:40 a.m. that day at the location they typically utilize for a mid-day drop-off.
  • They will follow their regular dismissal routine -- either ride the bus home or be a car rider (dismissal details below).
  • June 9 is a 1/2 day of school. Dismissal will be at 12:35 p.m. Students will simply ride their PM bus home, as usual, that day at the ½ day release time of 12:35 p.m. Car rider pick up will be 12:15-12:30 p.m.

Respectfully,

Greta Kuzilla, Principal
