Hance Students Raise Over $27,000 During Boosterthon

students cover the prinicpal in ice creamHance students raised $27,657 for the school PTO in January by collecting pledges and donations in support of their participation in February 2’s Boosterthon Glow Run.

Every Hance student had the opportunity to run laps in the gym, which was transformed for the Glow Run into a glowing neon racetrack complete with rope lights, tunnels, cones, flags and upbeat music.

Hance teachers tied the fundraiser into learning goals and student engagement. Third grade students were tasked with creating a Glow Run flier, showcasing their newly learned formatting skills in Google Docs. They changed fonts, inserted pictures and adjusted layouts. These fliers were then hung around the school.

As a reward for their hard work fundraising, students earned the opportunity to turn Mrs. Giran into a human sundae!

Funds raised will be put toward field trip transportation, assemblies and other important student enrichment programs.

Thank you to our Hance families and friends for your generosity, and thank you to our t-shirt sponsors: Haul E-Cycle, Allison Park Contractors, Connections Dental, AstroTurf, Explore Travel, LLC and Root Integration.
