Greetings from RES, where today we will celebrate love and friendship! Thank you to everyone for supporting our efforts to still have classroom celebrations in a new, safe way.
This week kicked off our Black History Month Mural Projects in the classroom. Ask your student which African-American they are learning about and working together to display and celebrate with their class! Here were the options: Thurgood Marshall, Ruby Bridges, Jackie Robinson, Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, President Barack Obama, Maya Angelou, Booker T. Washington, Nelson Mandela, George Washington Carver, Shirley Chisholm, Hidden Figures, or Oprah Winfrey.
We also started a new way to celebrate our RAMS Way expectations this month! Our homerooms are working hard on their respect, accountability, motivation and safety so they can earn “Rams Heads”. They are then working together to accumulate the ram heads so they can be the top earning homeroom in their grade level and earn classroom rewards! This first week, we had the following winners: Mrs. Savannah’s PM class, Mrs. Aiello’s first grade class, Miss Gray’s second grade class, and Mrs. Fulford’s third grade class. Many ram heads were earned, so congratulations to all! Keep working together!
Here is the display outside Mr. Hackworth’s classroom; keep up the great work everyone!
Thank you for your continued partnership for our Richland Elementary School Rams!
