Richland Elementary hosted its end of year Fun Day on June 7th.
This annual celebration is held to honor the 3rd grade students who will be leaving Richland Elementary at the end of the school year.
At Fun Day, students are able to eat lunch outside and interact with students in other classes, many of which they have not been able to see due to online classes and social distancing. Richland Elementary along with the PTO also provided funding to bring in a DJ to play music while the students enjoyed Fun Day. When the students finished eating, they then had the ability to dance to the music, hang out at the playground, and play corn hole. Students are also encouraged to sign each other's yearbooks.
Students who were a part of the Pine-Richland Virtual Academy (students who learned 100% virtual) were invited to participate in the Fun Day festivities as well.
Events like Fun Day allow for students to celebrate their graduation from Richland Elementary and to hang out with their friends one last time before summer. Fun Day is also a reward for all the hard work the 3rd grade students put in during the school year.
