Read Back-to-School Principal Letter

Dear Pine-Richland Middle School Parents and Students,

We hope that this letter finds you enjoying your summer vacation with family and friends. We are very excited about the upcoming 2022-23 school year and are confident that this year will bring exciting adventures and meaningful learning opportunities for all of our PRMS students, teachers and parents/guardians.  Our 2022-23 school theme is “Potential Has No Limits.”  We encourage all of our students to reach their potential by joining a club or activity, which can be found in the Student Handbook located at the front of their school-issued planner. Students will receive their school-issued planner on the first day of school, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022.

When students get off the bus, they should report to their first period classroom.  Your first period class will serve as your homeroom.  School will begin at 7:45 a.m., and students will be dismissed at 2:36 p.m. To be consistent with our emphasis on health and wellness and ensuring that students are getting enough sleep, we are asking that car riders be dropped off no earlier than 7:15 a.m.  Please be sure to carefully read all of the information included in this eNews so that you don’t miss anything important.

Middle school students will be able to view their schedules, locker number, locker combination and bus information on the Sapphire Community Portal (SCP) after 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022.  Visit this link to log-in or create an account.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT VISITING THE MIDDLE SCHOOL - The middle school will be open for visiting Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 16-18 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Mon., Aug. 22, from 4-6 p.m.  Please be sure to bring a copy of your schedule and locker information with you when visiting to become familiar with the location of your classrooms and locker.

PLEASE NOTE that the school will be closed for visitors at all other times as we prepare for our return to school.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
