This program is an educationally oriented, fun, and interactive program designed specifically for upper elementary students.  The unique curriculum features foundation vocabulary introduced through games, singing, and hands-on activities. Students are able to use this foundation vocabulary to develop a word bank and begin compounding words and begin forming simple sentences in Spanish.  Open to new and returning students.

Izabella's Gourmet Chow - International Cooking with a Twist

Wednesdays: Oct. 12 - Nov. 16 (6 weeks)
Program ends at 4:30 p.m.

Participants will make six international dishes from scratch. Travel to six countries and five continents one at a time.  We will learn culture, art, language, geography, history and a dance of each country.

Tudor Kings and Queens - Magnificent, Majestic, and Mean

Wednesdays: Oct. 5 - Nov. 9 (6 weeks)

Renaissance England: A time of art, music, literature. It was also a time of weaponry and warfare.  Explore the entertainment and amusements of the royal court. Try your hand at juggling or jousting. Learn about the finery and food of the time. (A bit of advice: Avoid the aromatic spicy dishes.) Discover life in this most civilized, yet barbaric period through hands-on projects and activities taught by our very own queen, Mrs. Joan Batson.
