Baker’s Dozen Academy

“WHIP UP SOME MOUTH-WATERING DESSERTS” WITH BAKER’S DOZEN ACADEMY!!
Your child will have fun while expressing their creativity by preparing their own 8- inch round “Frosty the Snowman cakes”, and baking their own pizzelles!!! Hmmmm the room will smell delicious!! They will learn the art of working with fondant, decorating techniques, assembling delicious desserts, then proudly taking home their own “works of art” to their families!!

Spanish Club

This program is an educationally oriented, fun, and interactive program designed specifically for upper elementary students. The unique curriculum features foundation vocabulary introduced through games, singing, and hands-on activities. Students are able to use this foundation vocabulary to develop a word bank and begin compounding words and begin forming simple sentences in Spanish. Open to new and returning students.

Izabella’s Gourmet Chow

All Cooking supplies, ingredients and recipes with Etiquette materials are incorporated in the course fee.
Come and join Izabella’s Gourmet Chow in an international expedition “Around the world in 6 weeks, experiencing one cuisine at the time.” Chefs will travel to China, Greece, England, Russia, Italy, Africa/Tunisia and learn infamous dishes of each country.
Each dish will always be made from scratch and tried on the spot. Chefs will acquire knife techniques, learn to measure liquids vs dry ingredients; discover importance of ingredient’s nutritional value. Chefs will travel to 6 countries and 3 continents: exploring art, history, geography, conquering languages of each dish’s origin. Chefs will become Food Aficionados AND Dancers, mastering a traditional dance of each respective country transforming the class into a perfect combination of cooking, virtual travel and fun.

Learning the art of debate! Students will have the opportunity to improve persuasion, public speaking, and critical thinking skills in this exciting new after school program! Designed to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment, students will gain confidence while practicing specific debate techniques leading up to a final debate where parents will be invited to attend.

Tween Yoga

Tween Yoga will focus on stretching and strengthening the body through yoga poses, as well as teaching breathing and mindfulness techniques with fun games and simple crafts. Students will learn a greater understanding of what yoga is and tools for using every day to calm down and focus, all in a fun environment.
