Read Principal's Sept. 23 Message

Dear Parents/Guardians:

If you have questions about Car Rider Procedures, Attendance, or have Transportation Issues, please click the links provided under "Procedures" in the  Flash (in the pale orange section).

Please sure to review the Picture Day & Food Service Updates and a Message from our Counselor following my letter.

RAMS Way Kick-Off Photos!

Thank you to the Hance Elementary PTO for sponsoring Mr. Ryan Woods for coming to Hance and taking some “RAMS” photos with his drone. The students were called out to the field to each stand in a letter spelling RAMS. The overhead shots came out beautifully, and the students were excited to engage in this prior to our RAMS Way Pep Rally! Thank you to the Pine-Richland High School Cheerleaders for joining us and helping to “RAM”p up the crowd! During the assembly, we reviewed our RAMS Way expectations and celebrated with a variety of games in which students and staff participated.

Kindness Club - Volunteer Opportunity!

We will be starting a Kindness Club for grade 3 during 3rd grade recess beginning Sept. 30 to weave blankets for animals at the shelter. We are looking for a parent volunteer to come in from 1:25-1:55 to assist in the Fab Lab with this opportunity. We will offer on day 2 and 5. Independent volunteers are preferred but assistive volunteers may also be considered for the opportunity. Sign up to volunteer here.

Lunchtime - Volunteer Opportunity!

Hance Elementary is offering a daily opportunity for volunteers to come to the school between 11:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. to help in the cafeteria! We are looking for parent volunteers to be our cafeteria hostesses. Volunteers would assist students in choosing their line to get lunch (hot or cold) and ensure they continue to move smoothly and efficiently in the line to maximize time for students to eat. If you are interested in helping out the school and having the opportunity to work with kids in a safe environment, please sign up for days at this link. The opportunity is daily and can be filled by anyone who wants to sign up. Once a slot is filled, feel free to look for other days that may work for your schedule. First-come, first-serve! Reach out to Dr. Kuzilla via email with questions!

Collecting Old T-Shirts & Sink Mats - Donation Opportunity!

Hance Elementary is currently collecting old t-shirts and donated sink mats to be used for an upcycling activity in which students will participate during the coming months. We are going to weave T-shirts into sniffing mats to donate to local animal shelters. T-Shirts can be any size and any color; however, they should be free of large 3D decorations and embellishments and should be cleaned. Please send them in with your students labeled for "T-Shirt and Sniff Mat Donation" or drop them in the box in the school entry next to the shoe donation. (T-shirts and sink mats will not be returned as they will be cut for weaving.)

With PRide,

Dr. Greta Kuzilla

Hance Principal
