View Principal's Sept. 23 Message

Greetings RES RAM Families & Students:

Homecoming week was a blast last week! Thanks for entertaining all of our spirit days and letting our students unite in different ways through the dress-up days.

It is always fun to see how they come together and celebrate.

Click here to enjoy a brief slideshow from pictures our PTO Yearbook Chairperson took throughout the week!

Our PTO is rockin’ right now, and next week is Book Fair week! Check in with the homeroom teachers so you know your child’s shopping day. It is sure to be a glowing event!

We are currently celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15-Oct. 15, throughout the building and also on our daily announcements. I am sharing facts and children’s literature that helps to give our students a window into a culture with which they may not be familiar, or a culture with which they may identify. This week, our read aloud was “Pepe and the Parade” by Tracey Kelly and illustrated by Mirelle Ortega. It is a great, engaging way to offer new experiences and perspectives to students. If YOU would like to make a recommendation to help us celebrate and/or share a book with the building through a recorded read aloud, reach out to me!

Let’s continue to focus on how we can continue to build our community of learners while they grow and we celebrate their uniqueness!

Thanks for your support and continued partnership!

With PRide,

Ms. Jenna L. Sloan
