Dear PRMS families,
New Assistant Principal Sends Welcome Message

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as your assistant principal. I come to PRMS after being an English/Language Arts teacher at West Allegheny Middle School. Middle school education has always been a passion for me. It is during this time in our students’ lives that they develop a sense of identity and autonomy, which makes it so crucial that we take care to nurture, support, and challenge them.
As I step into this position, I want to give attention to living out our mission of focusing on learning for every student every day--a mission that is easy to remember but challenging to achieve. I believe that this mission is at the heart of everything we do in education, and I am excited to partner with you and our students so we can realize this goal together.
During my transition into this role, I look forward to working with all families. I am eager to listen and learn from you, our students, and our staff and to share my areas of strength. In my previous role as a teacher, I worked with my colleagues, students, and parents to develop a strong English/ Language Arts curriculum that challenged and supported students. Through that experience, I learned that communication with all stakeholders is key to ensuring our students’ success. As your assistant principal, I will bring that spirit of collaboration as I build relationships with you, our students, and our staff.
Please know that my door is always open. I look forward to working with you to ensure that your children have access to learning activities that will help them realize their fullest potential.
Sincerely,
Jacob Minsinger, Assistant Principal
