World-renowned children's book illustrator Fatinha Ramos presented her work to Mr. Riley's art students on October 31, 2019.
Fatinha Ramos is an Antwerp-based illustrator and visual artist originally from Portugal. Her work has appeared all over the world and received awards from the Society of Illustrators NY, 3×3 (Magazine of Contemporary Illustration), Communication Arts, Global Illustration Award, World Illustrations Awards, White Ravens and many more. Fatinha has worked her magic on children’s books, covers, posters, editorials, advertising, fashion, animation and diverse personal projects, including a book on Sonia Delaunay for the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.
Ms. Fatinha Ramos gave students advice.
"Follow your own language," said Ms. Ramos. "Be best, not second best. Experiment. It's a process. You cannot be creative if you don't embrace your failures. Resiliency is very important. Believe in yourself."
