HS Schedules Rain Date for Graduation

Graduation December 10, 2019
Dear Students and Families of the Class of 2020:
As you are gathering with family and friends over the holiday season, we know graduation is likely part of those discussions. The presence and support of family and friends during graduation celebrations is an important piece of this special event. The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020, on June 5, 2020, may seem far away, but it will be here before we know it! We are certainly not wanting to rush a second of your senior year, but we do need to share a slight change regarding the ceremony.
When the weather cooperates, we are able to welcome an unlimited number of guests to our school’s stadium to join in the graduation ceremony. On the rare occasion when the weather is not cooperative, we have to move the ceremony into our school’s auditorium. As we move indoors, each graduate is limited to two guests. All other family members and friends are able to view the event via video screens in large group locations around our building and at home through PRTV.
In an attempt to accommodate unlimited guests, should there be inclement weather on Friday, June 5th at 7:00 p.m., we will postpone the graduation ceremony to Saturday, June 6th at 10 a.m. If the rain continues through the morning of June 6th, we will not postpone further and will have the ceremony indoors. In addition, should weather forecasts include a high probability of rain continuing into Saturday morning, we will move forward with the ceremony indoors on Friday night.
More information and details regarding graduation will be shared in March. We wanted to be sure to inform you of the plans for inclement weather in advance. Our hope is for beautiful weather on Friday, June 5, 2020!
Have a wonderful holiday season!
Mrs. Nancy Bowman, Principal
Mr. Rob Puskas, Assistant Principal for Grade 12
Mr. T.J. Salopek, Assistant Principal for Grades 10 & 11
