Students Create Mini-Ofrendas

Spanish Class Students in Spanish III Honors completed a project for Day of the Dead in which they made mini-ofrendas and wrote about them.

Teacher Kristin Szarell Hough had the other world language teachers vote on whose they liked the best.

An ofrenda is a collection of objects placed on a ritual display during the annual and traditionally Mexican Día de Muertos celebration.

Students put a little spin on the project and picked famous singers to inspire objects placed in the mini-ofrendas.
