Students had the opportunity to develop their writing skills with the help of Author Siobhan Vivian.
Ms. Vivian, who is also a professor of Writing Youth Literature at the University of Pittsburgh, provided students in Teacher Jessica Walker’s creative writing classes with some strategies to developing characters and storylines on November 13, 2019.
She attended The University of the Arts, where she graduated with a degree in Writing for Film and Television. She received her MFA in Creative Writing: Children’s Literature from The New School University.
Ms. Vivian has worked as an editor of several New York Times best-selling novels at Alloy Entertainment, and a scriptwriter for The Disney Channel. She has authored “Stay Sweet,” “Not That Kind of Girl,” and “The List” just to name a few.
Librarian Brent Pollock helped to organize the workshop.
