Wrestling Team Pins Victories

Wrestler Wrestler Nate Lukez earned his 100th victory on December 11, 2019, at Butler.  His career record is 100-25. Nate is committing to West Point.  Nate was one of four wrestlers that took four championship titles at the Steve DeAugustino Holiday Classic, held December 27-28 at West Mifflin. PR wrestlers Anthony Ferraro, Robert Palmieri, Nathan Lukez, and Cole Spencer proved successful. Overall, Pine-Richland fell two points short of the team title to Brentsville.

Recently the team pinned down section rival Mars 62-18 to bring their record to 7 and 1 on January 4, 2020. On January 8, 2020, the wrestling team takes on Armstrong at home at 7 p.m.

Earlier in December, the PRHS Wrestling Team entered the Eighteenth Annual North Hills Duals as the defending champions and were able to bring home an unblemished 4-0 record and trophy on December 14, 2019.

The victories over Central Catholic, Highlands, Gateway and section rival North Hills earned the Rams the tournament Championship for the second time in as many years! Head coach, Caleb Kolb, with Assistant Coaches Tom McGarity and Rob Hunt lead a motivated team that earned the MVP trophy as well.

Joey Schneck, just a freshman, at the heaviest weight class had three pins over opponents that weighed more and had more experience.
