The Pine-Richland Cross Country Teams are participating in the WPIAL Championships. They have been postponed until October 30, at 1 p.m. at White Oak Park. The boys begin at 1 p.m. and the girls at 1:45 p.m.

Both teams had impressive performances at the Tri-State Track Coaches Association Invitational and for podium finishes for both teams on October 22, 2020, at White Oak.

The girls were runner ups finishing second to North Allegheny.  The boys finished third with NA and Butler taking the top 2 spots.  There were 27 teams in each AAA race.

“The teams had some really impressive performances including some season-best times on the course,” said Coach Mark Hunkele.

Congratulations to the overall individual award winners:

• Victor Williams – Eighth-Place
• Meredith Price – Fourth-Place
• Angelina Hunkele – Eighth Place
• Natalie McLean – 12th Place 

Coach Mark Hunkele congratulated the athletes:

• Natalie on a great race in her first race. She worked so hard the past five weeks to come back strong.
• Victor, Anthony, Angelina, and Elizabeth Shaffer for season-best times 
• Meredith, Angelina, and Natalie for races recognized as Elite Performances by MileSplit US.
