Dear Pine-Richland Football Student-Athletes and Families:
We are excited to begin our hiring process for the next varsity head coach for Pine-Richland Football. As part of the process, we value input from our community and students. You are invited to participate through a video conference or to share your input electronically if you cannot attend.
This input session will be conducted virtually via GoogleMeet and is scheduled to last approximately 60 minutes. The session will include a brief update on our recruitment process, timeline, and the athletic department’s vision and philosophy. The primary focus will be gathering your input on those attributes that will have the greatest impact on this program.
Lastly, this input session will be geared towards incorporating perspective on “what” we should be hiring for, not “who” we should hire. If you have specific individuals who you believe would be strong candidates for this position, we encourage you to share this linkwith them so they can learn more about the position and submit their applications.
The community/student input video conference session will be held on January 13th, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Anyone interested in participating will receive a Google Meet link prior to the meeting.
In addition to the timeline and coach attributes, we will also focus a portion of the meeting on an athletic department goal of enhancing sportsmanship. Athletic competition often results in the “thrill of victory and agony of defeat.” We want to gather specific thoughts and suggestions for how we can strengthen sportsmanship for student-athletes, parents, spectators, and officials.
