The Pine-Richland High School Cheerleading Team placed first in Small Varsity in the Miami Valley Regional Competition in Dayton, Ohio on Oct. 29, 2017.
The team also placed third in the Gameday Varsity Division. The team received two bids to go to the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) High School Nationals in Orlando, Florida, which are being held Februrary 10-11, 2017.
The National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country.
The NHSCC isnationally televised on ESPN and ESPN2 to over 100 million homes and 32 countries nationwide each year. The Championship is also streamed live on Varsity TV on Varsity.com.
Squad members include: Abby Casario, Sophia Clegg, Emma Coleman,
Ally Czerski, Morgan Gierl, Jacqueline Gill, Erica Haas, Lucy Knoebick, Kate Kwasnick, Makenzie Marburger, Taylor McWhirter, Sammy Nudi, Holly Stewart and Lexi Stutz.
The team is coached by head coach Corey Doyle and assistant coach Marykate Drury.
The team also earned first place in the small varsity division and third place in the Game Day Division at a competition at Bethel Park on November 5, 2017
The Pine-Richland Middle School Team competed and placed first in their division. Corey Doyle also caoches taht team along with Jenna Mansfield and Mariah Wojciechowski.
