The Pine-Richland Boys Basketball team traveled to Butler and secured win number 16 of the season on Jan. 29, 2019. The 95-76 victory allowed the (16 - 2) Rams to remain undefeated in section play, extending its lead by two games. The victory also ensured that the Rams will earn at least a share of the section championship.
The Rams can earn the title of outright section champions with a victory in one of its two remaining section games versus North Hills and Central Catholic. The Rams were led by Dan Petcash who poured in a game-high 29 points. Greg Shulkosky contributed with 21 points. Kyle Polce also contributed to the winning effort scoring 14 points. Ethan Morton who scored 51 points when the two teams first played scored 20 points in the second meeting of the two top teams in the section.
The team beat Canon McMillan away 82-66 on Jan. 27, 2019 and North Allegheny 72-59 on Jan. 25, 2019 at home.
The Rams return to action on Friday, February 1, 2019, when they travel to North Hills. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
