Track and Field Athletes Advance to State Playoffs

Track & Field The Pine-Richland Track and Field Team had many athletes qualify for the 2019 PIAA State Playoffs after competing at the WPIAL Track Individual Championship on May 16, 2019.

Coach Bill Crummy said there were more than 20 Pine-Richland athletes competing at WPIALs.

Sophomore Danielle Bryant qualified for the PIAA State Playoffs in the 100 Meter Hurdles, 300 Meter Hurdles, and the 4x400 Relay Team which consisted of Livie Miller, Chalondra Clarke, Ella Rottinghaus, and Danielle Byrant. This team broke the school's record in the 4x400 with the time of 3:57.23 and earning second place at WPIALs.

At the PIAA State Playoffs Danielle placed eighth in the 100 Meter Hurdles and also placed fourth in the 300 Meter Hurdles.

Danielle was selected for the elite New Balance National Championship Competition that will be hosted in North Carolina on June 13-15, 2019.
