Dear Parents of Hance Elementary Students,

 

The purpose of this communication is to provide clear information about the Hance building conditions, remediation actions, and also a tentative timeline for next steps. Please take some time to carefully review this entire letter.

 

We received the results today from the air quality tests conducted yesterday. The air quality tests show that the remediation efforts were very effective. We will be able to return to Hance on Friday, September 7th! Additional details will be shared tonight. The reinsulation process for chilled water pipe is in the final stages. When complete, air conditioning will be restored to the classroom areas at Hance. The return on Friday will provide time for the air conditioning to run continuously in preparation for the first day back to Hance.

 

Hance students will remain at Eden Hall on Thursday, September 6th. Beginning Thursday afternoon, we will transition materials and technology back to Hance.

 

The parent meeting is still scheduled for tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Hance gymnasium. Please see yesterday's email for details that include the availability of a bus shuttle from Consolidated Communications due to limited parking.
