Pine-Richland would like to invite parents and community members to a panel discussion about the resources and services available to students and families at Pine-Richland School District 6-7:30 p.m. on April 26, 2022. The program will be hosted in the Pine-Richland High School Auditorium, 700 Warrendale Rd., Gibsonia, PA.
As you know, Pine-Richland strives to foster growth by empowering our students to build resiliency, strengthen protective factors, and adopt positive health and wellness practices. Our district has emphasized a commitment to mental health and wellness for our students by partnering with staff and the community. We strive to continuously improve programs that promote a positive school climate, focus on mental health awareness, provide suicide prevention and intervention, and increase accessibility to a continuum of mental health services, both inside and outside of the school setting.
Over the past few years, some of our students and families have experienced a range of stressors from adversity, isolation, and grief. These stressors can be overwhelming, especially when compounded by mental health challenges. Nationally, there is a growing need to support the wellness and mental health of children and youth. Students are more likely to access mental health services in school than in any other setting.
The Pine-Richland school community is collaborating with community-based mental health partners to broaden the understanding of resiliency, protective factors, risk factors/warning signs, continuum of support, and mental health resources available to our students and families.
