Finance Committee

This was a Joint Finance and Building & Grounds Committee Meeting.  Mr. Justin Vancheri, an auditor from Hosack, Specht, Muetzel & Wood, LLP, provided a presentation to the board on the district's 2018 audit. You can see the presentation documents.

The board also reviewed the Act 1 timeline. Act 1 of 2006, the Taxpayer Relief Act imposes a limitation by which school board directors are not permitted to raise the real estate tax rate beyond a predetermined index or percentage each year. For the 2019-2020 budget year, the base index has been established at 2.3%. Review additional details.

Mrs. Dana Kirk, director of financial and operational services, provided an update on the 2019-2020 capital funding process and refinement.
