Message from the Superintendent

July 18, 2019

Greetings to Pine-Richland Students, Parents and Community,

I hope that you are enjoying the summer with friends and family! The opportunity to spend time with family and hopefully operate at a different pace then the school year is always welcome. Enjoy the remaining days. We know that the next month will pass quickly.

We are getting ready for 2019 – 2020 in a variety of areas. Our custodial, maintenance and grounds staff are cleaning and repairing our buildings. We also have a number of summer projects in various stages of completion. Building schedules are being finalized for students and staff. We are engaged in the hiring process for open positions. Finally, we are clarifying the key areas of strategy that will drive our organizational focus next year.

In early August, the 2019 Annual Report will be mailed to all staff, families, and members of the community. It is really incredible to see the breadth and depth of opportunity and accomplishments by students and staff. In addition to setting strategic direction for 2019 – 2020, the Annual Report includes information on the following topics: key initiatives; academic performance measures; student spotlight; staff recognition; building-level accomplishments; budget; school board updates; and a summary of many clubs, music, art, and athletic activities. It is the wide range of diverse opportunities that help our students engage in our schools. Thank you to Ms. Hathhorn, Director of Communications, for her expertise and skill in writing and facilitating this project.

Thank you again for your support and commitment to the Pine-Richland School District. I will send a more comprehensive message in mid-August prior to the 2019 – 2020 kick-off.
