The Programming Club is focused on developing and sharing our passion for everything technology.  Our goal is to develop teamwork and critical thinking skills to compete in technology-related competitions.  Programming experience is not required to join the club.  At meetings, club members will compete in teams with logic puzzles and programming questions.  Additionally, members will have the opportunity to listen to a technology-related presentation from one of the club officers, or to prepare for an upcoming coding competition, hackathon, or community outreach project.

Programming Club meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month in Mrs. Klosky's room (419) from 2:45 - 3:45.  To stay updated, make sure to join our Google Classroom with the code: G777R5K

The officers for Programming Club include Rand Hasan as President, Amish Sethi as Vice President, Amitva Pal as Treasurer, and Sreyashi Mondal as Secretary.

The club will also prepare to host and attend Pine-Richland’s annual hackathon “Hack the Ram” in February.

Hack the Ram 2020

Hack the Ram is a 24-hour invention marathon that will take place at Pine-Richland High School.  The first event was held in January 2019.  Participants with any level of programming or hardware experience are invited to collaborate to create a technology project from scratch.  The event is open to all 7th-12th graders in the Pittsburgh area.  Hack the Ram is completely free for participants and will include dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday provided by our sponsors, as well as snacks and drinks. You can visit www.hacktheram.com for more information.
