COVID-19 Educational Model Weekly Update
January 2, 2021
Dear PRSD Students, Parents/Guardians, and Staff:
Health and Wellness
Happy New Year to all students, parents, staff and the community! We hope that all are enjoying a healthy winter holiday. We look forward to 2021 with anticipation.
Holistic Dashboard
Introduced earlier this week, the holistic dashboard has been updated with the most recent core and secondary indicators per the CDC. In the country, state and county, there are two core measures used to evaluate the amount of virus in the community (i.e., incidence rate per 100,000 and positivity test percentage). The Pine-Richland School District has designed the in-person learning models to address the long list of mitigation strategies (Click image to see the full dashboard.).
Parent Survey Question
For the purpose of this parent survey, we want to understand the parent/guardian perspective about sending your child back to the in-person model (alternating day or five days per week at the primary level). This perspective will be one of multiple factors considered as we prepare for the eventual return-to-hybrid. Please fill out a survey for each child in your family by 11 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021. Special Note: This is not a formal “selection” survey in our Sapphire student information system. This is a general survey to gauge the feelings and perceptions of our parents related to the shift from “V” (virtual) back to “H” (hybrid) on the continuum.
Additional Pennsylvania Restrictions
The additional COVID-19 restrictions enacted in Pennsylvania over the past few weeks are set to expire at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021. Restrictions in place prior to that period remain.
