The Pine-Richland High School Forensic Team offers students the chance to compete in 11 various categories from debate to original oratory to poetry to dramatic or humorous interpretation of plays, movies or stories. Practices are held after school every day in Room 106 from September through April and are open to all students.

Students need only attend those practices that meet their schedules and correspond to any tournaments that they want to attend. Tournaments, where students from schools throughout Western Pennsylvania compete, are held on Saturdays throughout the school year.  Forensics is more than a way to hone communication, interpretation, and thinking skills; it is a lot of fun.
SPECIAL 2021-22 NOTE: While the Forensics Team will continue to practice and compete, this school year, as last year, will be a bit different. Forensics still will be available for anyone interested, and we still will be meeting physically in Room 106 of the high school, but we all will need to wear masks and to remain properly distanced. As long as the proper distance can be maintained, the person practicing will be able to remove the mask if requested but only for the time when practicing.  Also, tournaments may have different guidelines for attending in person; however, we always will follow our mask and social distance safety guidelines. Some tournaments also may be held virtually as they were last year. We will note whether tournaments are in-person or virtual once we learn of them. We will post updated information on the forensics website listed above.
