Message from Superintendent
Greetings to Pine-Richland Students, Parents & Community,
As we approach the end of the calendar year, we have the opportunity to reflect on the past year and look forward to the future at PRSD. I am proud to be part of the Pine-Richland School District and for the opportunity to work in a school community that values learning. We are fortunate to have the combination of students, families, and staff members that recognize the special privilege to be part of a high-performing school system.
The Spotlight on Learning section of our website is a great place to "look back" at recent learning activities and events. For example, the middle school hosted a STEAM Day in November that included a wide range of speakers. This opportunity to expose students to careers and help them see the practical application of learning in a real-life setting is so very important to our schools. If you have not already done so, please take a few minutes to review some of these stories. Most recently, the Pine-Richland High School Student Government Association helped a local radio station beat its target goal for its annual "Stuff-A-Bus" program. PR students stuffed more than five buses full of toys for the annual fundraiser. These donations were collected from all six PR schools.
