Student Places 3rd in Nation in Math Program

Eden Hall Upper Elementary fourth grader Damian Ivanov placed second in Pennsylvania and third nationally in “Math Kangaroo,” which took place in March at the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning.  Math Kangaroo is an international competition that takes place every year on the third Thursday in March in multiple states throughout the US. Math Kangaroo, was started back in the 1980s in Australia by a mathematician and teacher.  Since 1998, Math Kangaroo has been helping students’ grades 1- 12 reach their potential in math, and are encouraged to continue to do so with the increasing participation.
