Students Earn 3rd in Cultural Marketing Competition

Pine-Richland High School placed third in the Cultural Communications Alliance (CCA) International Business Marketing Competition at the University of Pittsburgh Katz Business School on May 5, 2016.
PRHS Spanish teacher Kristin Hough said that the students competed against some of the best schools in the area by creating a marketing strategy presentation on selling Bayer's Radimetrics to hospitals and medical groups in Taiwan.
Radimetrics is a software platform that allow hospitals comply with new regulatory standards and document dosing, benchmark performance, manage protocols and much more.
In addition to Ms. Hough, PRHS French Teacher Dawn Herbst sponsors student participation in the program. The duo have done so for and have 10 years.
Team members include eleventh graders Joey Mullen and Allie Staresinic and sophomores Ben Cohen, Seth Kornbau, and Andy Park.
CCA works with local high school teachers to introduce international business concepts to their students using an international case competition. The high school teams work on their projects throughout the year before final presentations are given at the competition in May.
