Students Earn Top Awards
Outstanding Young Citizen Elite 100
Pine-Richland High
School senior Matthew Lacek was selected as a Trib Total Media Outstanding
Young Citizen Elite Top 100 Awardee. Family, friends, teachers and school
officials nominate students based on their exemplary character, academic
achievements, leadership and community service.
Outstanding Asian American Student Awards
Junior Richard Young Heon Kwon was selected as the winner of the Outstanding
Asian American Student Award Highest Honor. Junior Arushi Bandhi was selected
as the winner of the Outstanding Asian American Student Award.

Earns 2nd Place in State SkillsUSA Competition
Pine-Richland High School senior Kyrra Bosland earned second place in the
advertising design category at the SkillsUSA Competition on April 15, 2016 in
Hershey, PA. SkillsUSA is a national student organization that develops
employability, participatory and leadership skills to complement the
occupational skills developed by students in technical education classrooms or
work-based learning sites. SkillsUSA is
an integral part of approved technical education occupation programs.

AW Beattie Career Center named March/April Students of the Month. They include junior Adam Heeter for Advanced
Computer Programming, sophomore Sierra Luhrman for Advertising Design, sophomore
Dillon Theis for Agile Robotics and sophomore Gregory Oliver and sophomore Trevor
Valentic for HVAC.
