PR Dominates at AFJROTC Drill Competition


Pine-Richland High School hosted the Annual AFJROTC Drill Competition on April 22, 2017. Six schools and just over 140 cadets attended the event.  PRHS 
 dominated the day's events. The awards garnered by PR included:
 
- 1st Place Varsity Unarmed Team commanded by Cadet Jack Shannon
- 1st Place JV Unarmed Team commanded by Cadet Mike Dye
- 1st Place Uniform Inspection Team commanded by Cadet Alex Hein
- 1st Place Academic Quiz Bowl Team commanded by Cadet Hannah Schmidt
- 1st Place Female Color Guard Team commanded by Cadet Lily Nicotra
- 2nd Place Varsity Armed Team commanded by Cadet Matt Zirckel
- 2nd Place JV Armed Team commanded by Cadet John Szymanski 
- 3rd Place Varsity Color Guard commanded by Cadet Trevor Russell
- 3rd Place JV Color Guard commanded by Cadet Harrison Gonzalez
- 1st Place Overall for the unit commanded by Cadet Jack Shannon
 
Major Michael Morrison and Chief Gasparetto said the event was a huge success. The event was original scheduled last semester but was moved to April after weather canceled the original date. In addition, they thank all the parents, friends, judges and volunteers who made the program top notch.
