8th Graders Earn Regional History Day Awards
Several Middle School students qualified for the Pennsylvania State History Competition to be held in May at Carlisle High School. This year’s theme is “Taking a Stand in History."
The winners of the regional competition in March included eighth graders:
1st Place Group Website - Susan B. Anthony and Her Contributions to Society - Emerson Dickson, Elaina Camino, and Kristen Donahoe - Teacher: Joe Bailey
2nd Place Individual Documentary - The Stonewall Inn Riots - Samantha Koch - Teacher: Joe Bailey
3rd Place Individual Documentary - Lafayette: Taking a Stand in the American Revolution - Halle Jacks - Teacher: Joe Bailey
- 3rd Place Group Performance - Linus Pauling: A Scientist Against Nuclear Weapons - Michael Allessi, Joshua Rembe, and Victor Williams - Teacher: Sue Bartley
