Students Construct Giant 3-D Coral Reef

Wexford Elementary School has been transformed into a coral reef. The school launched a spectacular school-wide art project led by Art Teacher Barb Scheller.
Students prepped for the project by studying the coral reef ecosystem and learned about the environment. They then created a three-dimensional coral reef art project that was installed outside the library using a number of recycled materials.
Students were also helped by visiting artist Diane Pfischner. The PTO and parents helped with the project by donating many of the supplies needed to create the giant coral reef.
