Pine-Richland School District E-Newsletter
Greetings to PR  Students, Parents & Community,
With a little over one month remaining in the 2016 - 2017 school year, it is both an exciting and busy time at Pine-Richland. Examples include: concerts; final exams; athletic contests; service activities; PSSA/Keystone Exams; Advanced Placement tests; prom; multiple recognition ceremonies; and more. The Class of 2017 Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 2, 2017.  We are excited for the seniors and their families as each student prepares for the next step in his or her journey.

In my update last month, I referenced various elements of the mission, vision, and values of the district. The strategic plan serves as the foundation of our work. We take the time to reflect on our performance and look for opportunities for continuous improvement. The image below references the five major categories of the strategic plan. Please note the category titled "Communication & Engagement."
In May, we will administer the annual parent survey for the third time. This survey has been refined to gather parent feedback about many aspects of the educational programs, services, and people at Pine-Richland School District. It focuses specifically on parent satisfaction and engagement. In addition, we have also designed a voluntary, anonymous survey for students in grades 3, 6, 8, and 12. More information about this survey will be sent to parents at the beginning of May. We are also implementing a satisfaction and engagement survey for our staff. We will use the results of all three surveys as we prepare for next year.
Thank you again for your efforts to support students and families at PR.
