Students Earn Honors for Participation in Junior Choir

Two Pine-Richland High students are being honored for being part of the Junior Mendelssohn Choir, which earned the 2011 American Prize for Choral Performance High School Division.

PRHS sophomore C. Colton Croskey and senior Andrew Deutsch are being honored as members of the choir made up of young singers from around Pittsburgh.

The American Prize program is a series of new, non-profit national competitions providing professional adjudication and regional, national and international recognition for the best recorded performances of music by ensembles and individuals each year in the US at the professional, college/university, church, community and secondary school levels.

The Junior Mendelssohn Choir provides learning and performance opportunities for talented and passionate high school students in the region.
